Checkout, Shipping and Payment Options
When you have finished shopping and have all the products you require in your shopping cart you may review your cart contents. To review your cart prior to checking out, click the 'Show Cart' button option at the top of your screen. From the display screen that follows, you can check that you have everything you need and delete items that you have changed your mind on. Once you are satisfied that all is well, click the Checkout button on the Show Cart display screen or the Checkout option at the top of your screen. Both of these buttons will lead you a screen where you must tell us where we should ship the products you have ordered. If you have not yet registered, you must do so now in order to continue processing your order. We cannot calculate any taxes (if applicable) or shipping costs until you have registered and provided us with shipping information. If you have not registered yet, please click on the Register button. The default values for the Shipping Address are those that you supplied when you registered as a customer. You may overtype the defaults if the required information is different or if everything is correct, just click the 'Continue' button. When we have your shipping information we will calculate all applicable taxes and shipping cost options which we will present to you for your selection. Some courier services provide only one option or there may be several. We will always give you the cheapest option or the fastest shipping option if prices are the same. Please select your shipping option and then review all the price details of the order on the next screen including: *** GST / HST at 7% / 15% respectively, depending on the province, applies to all orders shipped to destinations in Canada PST / QST does not apply to sales of books in Canada. GST / HST does not apply to any products being shipped outside of Canada.
If you are satisfied that all costs are correct you may select a Payment Option to select your preferred method of payment. We accept the following credit cards: Credit card payments are processed through our secure payment gateway which is security verified and authorized by the Royal Bank of Canada. Your credit card details are encrypted all the way from your browser to the Royal Bank so nobody else can view your personal details. Depending on your web browser level and settings, you may be prompted with a Security Alert screen informing you of the security protocol and our secure server digital id. Please accept this by clicking OK to continue. For a further explanation of this very important issue please see the Security page. Please enter your credit card number and expiry date on the next screen and press Process to submit your transaction. This may take anywhere from 15 seconds to 2 minutes to process depending on the traffic volumes to the Bank so please be patient with us. If for any reason your transaction is not processed and you are sure your credit card details are correct, please try again. Once your payment has been processed you will leave our secure server and obtain a receipt for your order. When the display is shown, press the 'Print' button on your tool bar or select File | Print options from your browser's menu.
